Description
What this service does The Siemens MS43 (M54) and its sibling MS42 (M52TU) DME fail two main ways: a persistent internal misfire, and a “bricked” / corrupt-software failure that throws RAM/ROM self-test errors and leaves the car in limp mode, not starting, or not communicating – often after a failed programming attempt, a flat battery or a bad tune. We repair and restore your own unit and return it plug-and-drive; it stays your original DME so your old keys still work and no dealer programming is needed.
Fits: M54 (MS43) and M52TU (MS42) – 320i/323i/325i/328i/330i (E46), 525i/528i/530i (E39), X5 3.0 (E53), Z4 (E85), X3 (E83), Z3, roughly 1998-2006.
