What this service does

The 722.9 7G-Tronic conductor plate / TCM (the VGS) is one of the most common Mercedes transmission failures — limp mode, harsh or delayed shifting, no drive, gear-selector faults, and “transmission fault — visit workshop” messages. We clone your original VGS data onto a replacement unit so it drops straight in and drives, keeping your adaptations and avoiding a full relearn where possible. No dealer, no tow to a main agent.

Clone to my own donor VGS — you send your faulty VGS plus a matching donor unit, and we clone your data across. Lowest price, since you’ve sourced the hardware.

Mercedes-Benz fitted with the 722.9 7G-Tronic 7-speed transmission — most rear-wheel-drive Mercedes approx. 2004–2015 (C, E, S, CLK, CLS, ML, GL, SLK, R-Class, Sprinter and more). Send your VIN and the part number on your VGS to confirm.

Newer transmissions — the 9G-Tronic (725.0) and FBS4-era cars aren’t covered by this fixed-price service. Contact us for a quote on those.
