What this service does

The FEM (Front Electronic Module) and BDC (Body Domain Controller) run the body electronics — lighting, locking, windows, mirrors — and act as the immobiliser and key gateway on F-series and G-series BMWs. When one fails, you can’t just fit a blank replacement: programming a virgin FEM/BDC requires online dealer programming (ISTA-P). Instead, we clone your original module’s data onto your replacement unit — an exact copy that’s plug-and-play with your existing keys, with no dealer and no online programming.

– FEM — F-series: F20/F21/F22, F30/F31/F32/F33/F34/F36, F25 (X3) and related
– BDC — later F-series and G-series

Covers BMW and MINI F-series. Send your VIN and the FEM/BDC part number to confirm. The newest G-series BDC may carry additional security — we’ll confirm before you buy.

What you ship us

1. Your original (faulty) FEM/BDC
2. A matching donor FEM/BDC (same part number)
3. A note with your VIN and return address

Your existing keys keep working — the clone is an exact copy, so no key sync needed. The donor must match your original’s part number; if you’re not sure yours matches, send your VIN and part number first and we’ll confirm before you buy.

What’s NOT included

– FEM/BDC removal/fitting — workshop or DIY
– A completely dead module whose data can’t be read can’t be cloned — that needs recovery or online programming; we’ll assess and advise
– Newest G-series BDC may need a VIN check first — contact us if unsure
