What this service does

The ISN (Individual Serial Number) is the security code stored in your BMW’s DME — it must match the CAS or FEM/BDC for the car to start and for keys to be programmed. We read and extract the ISN from your BMW DME so you can program keys (including all-keys-lost), align a replacement DME, or sync your immobiliser modules.

Two ways to do it

– Remote (fastest) — you’ve already read your DME on the bench: send us the read/dump file and we’ll extract the ISN and send it back. No shipping, usually same-day.
– Mail-in — can’t read it yourself? Ship us the DME and we’ll read the ISN on the bench, send it to you, and return the module.

Covers BMW and MINI. Some newer encrypted DMEs (MEVD boot-mode, MG1) take more work — send your DME part number or dump first and we’ll confirm.

What you send us

– Remote: your DME read/dump file, plus your DME part number and VIN
– Mail-in: your DME module, plus a note with your VIN and return address

Turnaround

Remote reads are usually same-day. Mail-in: read the day we receive it, ISN sent and module returned.
