Description
What this service does
The transmission control module on these Holdens — the TEHCM (Transmission Electro-Hydraulic Control Module), mounted on the valve body inside the gearbox — holds your transmission’s coding and adaptive data. A blank replacement won’t drive correctly. We clone your original TEHCM’s data onto a donor of the same type so it drops straight in and drives, keeping your adaptations and avoiding a dealer relearn where possible. The cloning reads and writes the data directly, so it works across the GM 6-speed range.
How it works — quote first
Common models: Commodore VE, VF — including SS, SV6, Ute, Caprice, Statesman — and Colorado.
Older autos: the VT–VZ 4L60E / 4L65E is controlled by the PCM, with no separate TCM. That’s handled under our Holden ECU / PCM Cloning service, not here.
You supply the donor
You provide a donor TEHCM of the same type as your original. We confirm the exact match needed when you send your VIN — don’t buy a donor until we’ve confirmed.
What happens next

- You approve, then ship us your original unit and your donor
- We clone it and post it back — same day once received

- Mechanical transmission faults — this is electronic module work only
- Cases where the original data is unreadable can’t be cloned — we’ll confirm when you send your VIN
