What this service does

When a Holden engine ECU or PCM fails, a blank replacement won’t start the car — it has to carry your original software, coding and immobiliser data so it matches your BCM/PIM. We clone your original unit’s data onto a donor of the same type so it drops straight in and drives, with no dealer programming. The cloning reads and writes the data directly, so it works across the Holden/GM range.

How it works — quote first

Covers — Holden / GM ECU & PCM families

Common models: Commodore VE, VF — plus Berlina, Calais, SS, Ute, Crewman, Caprice, Statesman, Cruze, Captiva and Colorado.

You supply the donor

You provide a donor ECU/PCM of the same type as your original. We confirm the exact match needed when you send your VIN — don’t buy a donor until we’ve confirmed.

What happens next

1. Send your VIN and ECU/PCM part number
2. We confirm we can clone it and send you a price
3. You approve, then ship us your original unit and your donor
4. We clone it and post it back — same day once received

What’s NOT included

• ECU/PCM removal/fitting — workshop or DIY
• Engine mechanical faults — this is electronics only
• Cases where the original data is unreadable can’t be cloned — we’ll confirm when you send your VIN
