What this service does

The EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch, also EZS) authenticates your keys and lets the car start. When it fails — the car won’t recognise the key, won’t start, or cuts out intermittently — the cleanest fix is a working module carrying your exact data. We clone your original EIS onto a replacement unit: an exact 1:1 copy. Because the clone is identical to your original, it’s plug-and-play with your existing keys — no re-coding, no key synchronisation, no dealer.

Cloning vs programming — which do I need?

– Cloning (this service): your EIS has failed but its data is still readable. We copy it exactly to a donor unit and your existing keys keep working. Fastest, cleanest fix.
– If the EIS is completely dead and its data can’t be read, a clone isn’t possible — that needs the programming/renewal route. Contact us and we’ll advise.

What you ship us

1. Your original EIS (so we can read the data)
2. A replacement / donor EIS of the matching type, if you have one (or ask us to supply)

What’s NOT included

– FBS3 only. FBS4 (2016+) is dealer-restricted
– EIS removal/fitting — workshop or DIY
– Cases where the original data is unreadable — those need the programming route; we’ll assess and advise
