Description
The simple fix for a failed Mercedes steering lock
On these older Mercedes models, the electronic steering lock (ESL / ELV) uses a universal communication setup — which means our emulator is plug-and-play. No programming, no need to send us anything. You order it, we post it, you (or any workshop) fit it in place of the failed steering lock. The car starts and the fault is gone for good.
Symptoms this fixes
- Steering wheel locked and key won’t turn
- Car won’t start or won’t crank
- No dashboard lights when the key goes in
- “Steering lock” warning or clicking from the column
Vehicles this covers (plug & play — no programming)
- A-Class W169
- B-Class W245

- CLK W208, W209
