What this service does

The W639 CDI3 Vito engine ECU commonly fails by not starting (no crank) when cold, and loses communication with the other modules and the diagnostic tool when it’s faulting. We repair your own unit, rectify all the known faults, and fit higher-rated parts to keep it reliable. Because it’s your original ECU it goes straight back in plug-and-play – no coding, no programming, no immobiliser sync.

Common symptoms

– No crank cold
– No communication with the engine ECU
– Won’t crank when hot
– Engine fan runs at full speed as soon as the ignition is on

Common fault codes

P1617 – internal ROM/EEPROM error (a fault occurred during the last write or read).
